All Things Frida Kahlo - Grades 3 - 5
From her iconic eyebrows to her colorful flower crowns, Frida Kahlo was an incredible Mexican painter known for her self portraits and nature paintings. Campers will learn about her incredible life and create pieces inspired by her body of work and Mexican culture. All supplies provided. OHS Lower Level.
Tanya A Long
Instructor
Tanya Anne Long is ceramicist and sculptor from New York, currently residing in Cleveland, OH. She received her MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art and her BFA from Pratt Institute. She has been the recipient of a U.S. Fulbright Grant for independent research in the area of visual arts and design in Hungary. Her work with ceramics has taken her abroad numerous times, including participation in artist residencies at the European Ceramic Work Centre (EKWC) in the Netherlands, the Guldagergaard Ceramic Research Center in Denmark and the International Ceramic Studio in Hungary. She has held teaching positions at the University of Akron in Ohio and the University of Pécs in Hungary.
