Brady Chess ClubJust for TeensJoin us and learn basic rules, beginner principles, tactical themes and checkmate patterns in a supportive environment. Instruction will be provided by “Progress with Chess”, Many studies have demonstrated that chess improves cognitive and decision-making skills. Beginning students will master the rules and moves of the pieces. More experienced players will learn strategy, tactics, and checkmate patterns.Spring/Summer 2026 -
Cotillion For Middle SchoolersJust for TeensBuild the tools to navigate your social world with grace and self-assurance. This program goes far beyond learning the "box trot" or the salsa—it is designed to build the confidence and life skills that will serve you well into adulthood. Over the course of five sessions, you will master the essentials of social etiquette and ballroom dance in a fun, supportive environment. The program includes: 2 Etiquette & Manners Sessions: Focused on personal presence and the "must know" rules of dining etiquette; 2 Dance Sessions: An introduction to the Rumba & the Cha Cha, helping students feel comfortable on any dance floor; The Celebration Ball: A grand finale where students put their new skills into practice! Drivers EducationJust for TeensWe are excited to announce a new partnership with Pro Driving School to offer in person Driver’s Education classes right here on campus plus comprehensive Behind the Wheel driving instruction. Get on the road to independence with our comprehensive, state-approved Teenager Driver’s Ed program. Designed to fit around your busy life, this course provides the essential training needed to meet Ohio law requirements and become a safe, confident driver. This program includes 24 Hours of Classroom Instruction: Engaging in-person lessons divided into eight 3-hour sessions. We are offering these classes at different times to offer more flexibility with your busy schedules. 8 Hours of Behind-the-Wheel Training: One-on-one personalized instruction delivered in four 2-hour sessions by certified instructors. How the Program Works:Classroom First: Complete your 24 hours of theory. Remember to bring a notebook and pen, and please arrive 5–10 minutes early. Behind-the-Wheel: Once classroom training is finished and tuition is paid, you can schedule your driving sessions. Completion: You have 6 months to complete both portions of the program. Certification: After finishing all 32 hours of training, your Certificate of Completion will be uploaded to your account.Winter 2026 -
OCER Climbing Club at Shaker RocksJust for TeensJoin our climbing club after school at Shaker Rocks. All climbers welcome from very beginners to serious climbers. No matter where they are on their climbing journey, Climbing Club will help them build a good foundation. In addition to climbing skills, Climbing Club members will make new friends, learn new communication skills, and express their personalities in a whole new way. Climbing focuses on both physical and mental strength and agility. Your child will not only get stronger and more athletic, they will also become more confident! And, of course, Climbing Club is designed to be FUN! Without focusing on competition, climbers are free to develop their skills in a stress-free, supportive environment. Students will board the bus after school and be dropped off at Shaker Rocks at 4:00pm. Parents must pick their kids up from Shaker Rocks at 5:30pm. OCER will provide transportation and supervision for climbing club, however separate registration is required with Shaker Rocks for $149 for climbing. TRANSPORTATION: Brady Middle School students will meet in the lobby at the PPLC by 3:45pm. They will be checked in and board the after school program bus after it drops the elementary school students off at the PPLC. Moreland Hills Elementary School students will board the program bus after school and ride it to PPLC. They will get off the bus and go to the lobby to be checked in with the middle school students before reboarding the bus. As a courtesy, parents must notify our department if your child will be absent from school (or picked up early). Teen Coding ClubJust for TeensLearn to code as you create video games and program LEGO® MINDSTORMS® EV3 Robots. Over multiple sessions we'll follow student interests to explore options such as Scratch, Python, HTML, JavaScript, and more. No prior programming experience necessary. If you've taken this class before, don't worry! There are new games and robot challenges each time. TRANSPORTATION: Students enrolled in after school classes at the Pepper Pike Learning Center are required to walk from Brady Middle School to our facility, or get dropped off by a parent. Busing is not provided. Parents must also notify BMS that their child will be attending a program at one of our facilities after school. Teen Fashion ClubJust for TeensDo you have a passion for fashion? Do you like being creative? How about having FUN with friends while you MAKE SOMETHING AWESOME!! Join us this fall for our one-of-a-kind enrichment program. Created by industry professionals, fashion educators & led by current fashion university students from Kent State University. This fall we introduce our TEEN FASHION CLUB!! In this after school club we will learn all things fashion. From inspiration and styling to trends and upcycling. The club will share their love for fashion immediately following their meet up with the fashion class for grades K-2. The club is brought to you by the Future Fashion Stars staff, recent graduates and current students from the Kent State University fashion program. WaitlistTeen PickleballJust for TeensCome learn about the fastest growing sports in the US! Each week students will be taught the fundamentals of pickleball including forehand and backhand strokes, serving, returning the serve, etc. Students will engage in practice tasks each week to help them improve their skill abilities. Players will also be introduced to age-appropriate games that will keep them excited about playing the sport! Coaches will create a positive learning environment to help children have a great time while learning about a new sport!Spring/Summer 2026
