Family Clay Workshop (Grades K-2)
This workshop is designed for one student and one adult to attend together for a fun, hands-on ceramics experience. Participants will begin with a brief demonstration introducing basic handbuilding techniques, including scoring and slipping, coil, pinch, and slab construction, then work as a team to design and create one shared clay piece. If time and clay allow, families may also create a small keepsake using remaining clay as a lasting reminder of time spent creating together. All artwork will be fired after the workshop. Families are responsible for arranging pickup of finished work approximately 2 to 3 weeks after the workshop, and will be notified by email when pieces are ready. Registration covers both participants. All supplies provided.
