Future Scientists (Gr. K-2)

Youth Recreation & Discovery / Brain Power -
Spring/Summer 2026

Students will learn how the Earth’s rotation around the sun creates Sizzling Seasons, discover the importance of protecting Wonderful Wetlands and Rainy Rainforests, and explore historical tools and innovations in Communication Science. They will study weather patterns—including clouds, sun, wind, and precipitation—in Wonderful Weather, investigate the differences between insects in Beautiful Bugs, and examine muscles and bones in Simply Skeleton! Students will also explore how gravity, weather, and safety contribute to strong structures as they dive into Structural Engineering.

Students attending Moreland Hills Elementary school must update their SDM notes to attend the program. Students without an updated note will not be able to ride the Rec Bus. Any students who will not be attending a class must email knewman@orangecsd.org to confirm their absence.
