Foundations of Pastels - Tuesday Mornings: Fall I
This course introduces students to both soft and oil pastels, exploring the unique qualities of each medium. Through observation-based work, students will build foundational skills in blending and layering to create their own original pieces. No experience required. A supply list will be emailed at the time of registration. Approximate supply cost, depending on materials already owned: $50.

Art Instructor
Liam Mealey is a wildlife illustrator from Cleveland, Ohio, holding a degree in illustration from The Cleveland Institute of Art with an emphasis on life science illustration and graphic design. His artwork, inspired by the intricate beauty of animals and the ethereal aspects of nature, incorporates mixed media, digital painting, photo scanning, and hand lettering. As an educator, Liam fosters a collaborative classroom environment that encourages students to explore their creativity and develop their unique artistic voices. His teaching aims to deepen the connection between art and the natural world, working to inspire the next generation of artists.
