Future Scientists: (Gr. K-2)

Session 1:  Students will examine daily tools scientists use in “What is Science”, “Tool Time”, learn about “Amazing Atoms & Moving Molecules”, experiment with mixing colors in “Magic of Color”, discover buoyancy in “Floating and Sinking”, discover how science is magical in “Is it Science? Is it Magic”, and learn how seeds spread and the science of leaves changing colors in ”Harvest Time and Colorful Leaves”!

Session 2: Students will see how different materials affect how balls bounce in “Magic of Bouncing Balls”, explore “Creative Chemistry” as they are surprised by indicator paper and corn starch, delve in mountains, deserts, caves and prairies in ”Large Landforms”, examine sedimentary, igneous and metamorphic rocks in “Rocking Rocks”, learn how scientists explore ”Terrific Teeth”, and learn about the animal and plants that live in “Proud Ponds”!  

Students attending Moreland Hills Elementary school must update their SDM notes to attend the program. Students without an updated note will not be able to ride the Rec Bus. Any students who will not be attending a class must email knewman@orangecsd.org to confirm their absence.
