Stagecrafters Winter Community Production: Aladdin
Embark on a spectacular journey to a whole new world! This dazzling, high-energy production of Disney’s musical Aladdin brings the magic carpet ride to life. Join a charming street urchin and his hilarious, wish-granting Genie as they race against a wicked sorcerer
to win the love of a princess. Prepare for iconic songs, breathtaking adventure, and pure theatrical fun that will leave you absolutely
spellbound!
Participation Eligibility:
Students must be enrolled in a Fall 2026 Stagecrafters class in order to be eligible to audition (private coaching is not considered a
Stagecrafters class). Prospective cast members must be registered prior to auditioning and must attend auditions to be cast in the show. Once cast, each parent/guardian must submit an ad including a photo & message and a brief biography (bio) for their cast member that will
be included in the playbill.
Fees
The Registration Fee below includes the Participation Fee of $224 and Ad Fee of $75. An additional mandatory costume fee is required if cast. The Costume Fee is $75 and will be collected at the first rehearsal by Parent Production. Payment will be processed prior to
the first rehearsal. Optional purchases of yard signs, shirts, photos and videos will be available after the cast list has been given out.
Auditions
Auditions will be held on Saturday, October 3. All students in grades 3-8 must audition in order to be considered part of the casting process. Students that are not available for mandatory. Tech Week rehearsals (beginning January 9, 2027) are discouraged to audition. Please review all commitments prior to auditioning.
Rehearsals
Rehearsals will be on Tuesdays, Thursdays 5:30-8:30pm & Sundays from 12:30-3pm. Not every cast member will be called to every rehearsal. Once we cast the show, we will distribute rehearsal schedules that try to accommodate cast members’ conflicts as best as possible. Older cast members will typically be called to more rehearsals than younger cast members.
Tech Week
Tech week is the final and most intensive mandatory week of rehearsals before a musical opens to an audience. It’s when all the technical
elements of the production—lighting, sound, costumes, set changes, props, microphones, special effects, and more—are integrated with
the actors’ performances. Tech week begins Saturday, January 9, 2027. Students that are not available for ALL mandatory Tech Week rehearsals are discouraged to audition.
Show Dates/Tickets
Performances are scheduled for January 15, 16 and 17, 2027. Tickets will go on sale approximately 2 weeks before the show. Cast members will receive a link to purchase tickets prior to access of the general public. Ticket prices range from $15-$20.
