My First Production: Aladdin, Jr.

Step into the spotlight! This exciting introduction to the stage gives our youngest performers a chance to be part of Community Production with five fun rehearsals and a magical tech week to bring it all together. Through guided practice, songs, adapted choreography, and adorable costumes, students will build confidence, teamwork skills, and stage presence in a supportive, playful environment. Perfect for first-time performers ready to shine!

Participation Eligibility
No audition required, however, students must be enrolled in a Fall 2026 Stagecrafters class in order to be eligible to participate. In addition, each parent/guardian must complete online registration and questionnaire.

Fees
The Registration Fee below includes the Participation Fee of $129 (resident) or $139 (nonresident) and Costume Fee of $75. Payment will be processed prior to the first rehearsal. Optional purchases of Yard Signs, Playbill ad, Shirts & Photos will be available after the cast list has been given out.

Rehearsals
Rehearsals will be on Sundays November 15, December 6, December 13, January 9 (Saturday), and January 10 from 1-3pm. Once we cast the
show, we will distribute rehearsal schedules that try to accommodate cast members’ conflicts as best as possible.

Tech Week
Tech week is the final and most intensive mandatory week of rehearsals before a musical opens to an audience. It’s when all the technical elements of the production—lighting, sound, costumes, set changes, props, microphones, special effects, and more—are integrated with the actors’ performances. Tech week begins Saturday January 9, 2027. Tech week continues January 11 through January 14. K-2 Cast Members split into two casts (A & B). Cast members that attend Moreland Hills are bussed to Orange High School for tech rehearsals from 4-5:30pm Monday through Thursday.

Show Dates/Tickets
Performances are scheduled for January 15, 16 and 17, 2027. Tickets will go on sale approximately 2 weeks before the show. Cast members will receive a link to purchase tickets prior to access of the general public. Ticket prices range from $15-$20.
