My First Production - Seussical the MusicalAuditions & PerformancesStep into the spotlight! This exciting introduction to the stage gives our youngest performers a chance to be part of Community Production—with just three fun rehearsals and a magical tech week to bring it all together. Through guided practice, songs, simple choreography, and storytelling, students will build confidence, teamwork skills, and stage presence in a supportive, playful environment. Perfect for firsttime performers ready to shine! Participation Eligibility: No audition required, however, students must be enrolled in a Winter 2026 Stagecrafters class in order to be eligible to audition (private coaching is not considered a Stagecrafter class). In addition, each parent/guardian must complete online registration questions. Each parent/guardian must submit a brief biography (bio) for their child. Fees: Fees includes the Participation Fee of $99 plus an additional Costume Fee of $50. Payment will be processed prior to the first rehearsal. Optional purchases of Yard Signs, Playbill ad, Shirts & Photos will be available after the cast list has been given out. Rehearsals: Sundays April 19, April 26, and May 3 from 1-3 pm, and Tech Week. Tech Week: Tech week is the final and most intensive MANDATORY week of rehearsals before a musical opens to an audience. It's when all the technical elements of the production—lighting, sound, costumes, set changes, props, microphones, special effects, and more—are integrated with the actors' performances. NEW! Art Explorers: Ceramics - Thursdays After School (3-5)Young ArtistsNew at the OAC: Art Explorers: Ceramics is now available as a Thursday option for Grades 3–5. Young artists will explore clay through handbuilding, surface design, and glazing techniques to create original ceramic pieces. This ceramics-focused day offers expanded opportunities for clay work within our established Art Explorers program, while still providing group and individual instruction. All supplies included. Grades K–2 meet Mondays and Tuesdays; Grades 3–5 meet Wednesdays (Art Explorers) and Thursdays (Art Explorers – Ceramics). Resident students will be chaperoned and shuttled from Moreland Hills Elementary to the Art Center. Student artwork must be picked up within two weeks of the session ending. In this hands-on workshop, participants will explore the interaction between Brusho pigment and raw canvas, discovering how water, layering, and resist techniques behave on an absorbent surface. Artists will learn simple tin embossing techniques to create stunning butterfly artworks. They will begin by sketching their butterfly using pencil and paper (templates will be provided), then trace the design onto a sheet of metal foil. Artists will go over the linework on the foil, pressing in details to bring their butterfly to life. Color will be added using Sharpies, and each piece will be finished with a simple mat made from thick cardstock. Work together to create a coordinating set of butterflies or each make their own! Once finished, each piece will be completed with a wooden dowel and string for hanging. Work on a single piece or each make their own.
