You will start with basic safety, followed by a demonstration of how to properly use various hand tools and power tools, you will have a chance to practice with each. After breaking for lunch, you will return to the wood shop to work on a small project to put your knowledge to work. The limited class size will allow for plenty of individualized attention from your instructor. You will finish the day with a completed project to take home. Ear protection is recommended. The safety workshop is included with this class. There is a $40 materials fee payable to the instructor, check or cash.Fall 2026 -
NewPlate TurningWoodworkingLearn to use a lathe to turn a piece of wood into something very special. You will complete the class with a gorgeous hand-turned plate, suitable for gift giving or pairs nicely with the handmade bowl from the bowl turning class! $20 materials fee is payable to the instructor.
