WaitlistAfterschool Skills - Run the Show Basketball BoysAfterschool SportsSkill Development Programs OCER intends to provide opportunities for youth athletes to improve their skill level in their sports of choice through programming with professional coaches and vendors. When participating in these programs, participants should expect an outcome of; skill development and ability improvements throughout its duration. There should be no competitive expectation. After-School Skills Classes New this season OCER will offer skill development sports classes after school. Moving away from the traditional organized play programs, after-school programs will now serve youth athletes to improve their skill. Programs will be led by professional coaches who will develop a curriculum to guide your athlete to growth. After School Run the Show Basketball Boys BASKETBALL SKILLS Boys & Girls Grades 2 - 5 A 6-week after-school basketball skills program directed by Run The Show. Students will work on improving basketball skills including ball handling, footwork, shooting, passing, finishing and learning basketball concepts. Competitions and games will be included as the program progresses. The focus of this program is to provide a skill based after-school opportunity for players interested in getting better at basketball and continuing to develop their game. Pick-Up will be at the Moreland Elementary Cafe 2 entrance by the playground at 4:30 pm. We will walk the kids out to the sidewalk and you can just pull up and pick up your child. If it is raining or cold out, we will send the kids out from inside when they see their car. If you will be having someone else pick up your child please let me know.Fall 2026 -
Run The Show - Saturday School "Hoops Academy" & LeagueBasketballOCER Recreation Sports Leagues and Teams OCER Youth Sports provides all elementary-aged students with opportunities to participate in athletics in their community. “Recreation Sports” follows a more traditional style of youth sports, where participants play on a team, often coached by a volunteer parent, and play in leagues geared towards fair and equitable participation. When participating in these programs, participants should expect an outcome of; organized team play led by volunteer coaches, in an environment that allows everyone to participate. There will be moderate competitive expectations. Run The Show - Saturday School “Hoops Academy” & League - Boys & Girls Grades K - 2 Join Run The Show on Saturdays to improve your basketball skills and IQ. The focus will be on getting better with basketball at a young age, learning the game, and having fun. Kindergarten participants will spend 6 weeks leaning and developing skills, while Grades 1-2 will utilize weeks 3-6 to incorporate team practices and game concepts in preparation for their league starting in January. Players will be placed on teams based on ability level. Teams will be coached by Run The Show staff. Each participant will receive an Orange/RTS jersey. The league's focus is developing an understanding of how a basketball game is played, the rules of the game, and learning basketball concepts and actions. We will promote competitiveness, sportsmanship, and development. This will align with the Saturday School Hoops Academy as players will be placed on their teams after the 3rd week of Hoops Academy to practice and gain continuity.Fall 2026 -
