Children will learn focus, self-control, and perseverance through the challenges of developing Taekwondo skills. This structured, fun, and safe environment will provide a strong foundation in essential character qualities and discipline. Children of all skill levels are welcome to join. Cleveland Fencing Academy
This award-winning facility just celebrated the success of one of their students who won gold in the Paris Marathon Fleuret, an international youth foil competition! Cleveland Fencing Academy is a 7800 sq ft state-of-the-art fencing and sports facility for kids/adults right in Beachwood. With 17 Olympic-sized fencing strips, CFA is the largest and most recognized foil and saber fencing program in the state of Ohio. Get plugged into the oldest modern Olympic sport, realize your Star Wars Jedi dreams, and become competitive on a regional, national, and international level! Unique opportunity in the Cleveland area! All equipment is provided by the club. OCER does not provide transportation to or from this class. Students will pick one day a week to attend classes. Extreme Dodgeball (Gr. 2-5)
Come join this fun and exciting extreme dodgeball class! This program provides students the opportunity to play the popular game in a safe and supervised environment. Our coaches will emphasize teamwork, cooperation, and proper sportsmanship. Each week will consist of different versions of dodgeball. Gymnastics (Gr. K-2)
WEBBY Gymnastics class will challenge the children by learning progression-based skills that focus on flexibility, strength and memory. We will use equipment and small props to let their imagination soar through weekly themed obstacle courses, tumbling and floor routines. Kids Warrior Yoga (Gr. K-5)
Yoga for school-age children provides a fun and engaging way for children to practice mindfulness, body awareness, balance, strength, and flexibility in a noncompetitive and compassionate environment. In addition, yoga provides children with increased focus, confidence, and the ability to work through everyday frustrations in a calm manner. Traditional yoga poses will be explored using child-friendly language, games, yoga challenges, yoga props, and traditional yoga sequencing. Join us and find your inner warrior. Kids' Jr Pickleball (Gr. K-2)
Come discover one of the fastest-growing sports in the country! In this fun and active class, young players will learn the basics of pickleball through exciting games, movement activities, and beginnerfriendly drills. Students will practice skills like serving, forehand and backhand hits, and teamwork while building coordination and confidence on the court. Coaches will create a positive and encouraging environment where kids can learn, play, and have fun with friends! Kids' Pickleball (Gr. 3-5)
Learn the fundamentals of one of the fastest growing sports in the US! Players will develop pickleball skills including serving, returning serves, forehand and backhand strokes, court positioning, and game strategy through drills, skill-building activities, and gameplay. Each week, students will practice techniques designed to improve coordination, consistency, and teamwork while participating in age-appropriate matches and challenges. Coaches will provide a supportive and energetic environment that helps players grow their skills and enjoy the game! Learn to Skate
Want to learn how to roller-skate or roller-blade? The Chagrin Valley Roller Rink (CVRR) offers a program that will teach you the basics, such as: starting, stopping, gliding, striding, squatting, marching, scissors, and crosses. The last lesson is a fun time skate and a chance for students to show their families what they’ve learned. Rental skates are included. Please call the CVRR regarding cancellations or with any questions at (440) 247-4224. Transportation is not provided. -
Power Play Gym Games (Gr. K-2)
The power play gym games class is a great way for students to burn off all that energy by playing their favorite games! The program is designed to bring the excitement of physical education and summer camp right into the after-school hours. Experienced coaches will lead a variety of tag games, classic playground games like capture the flag and kickball, and much more! Coaches will create a safe environment that fosters teamwork and sportsmanship in this exciting class that will guarantee a fun and active time!
