    This award-winning facility just celebrated the success of one of their students who won gold in the Paris Marathon Fleuret, an international youth foil competition! Cleveland Fencing Academy is a 7800 sq ft state-of-the-art fencing and sports facility for kids/adults right in Beachwood. With 17 Olympic-sized fencing strips, CFA is the largest and most recognized foil and saber fencing program in the state of Ohio. Get plugged into the oldest modern Olympic sport, realize your Star Wars Jedi dreams, and become competitive on a regional, national, and international level! Unique opportunity in the Cleveland area! All equipment is provided by the club. OCER does not provide transportation to or from this class. Students will pick one day a week to attend classes. Each student will care for their own plant while building confidence, responsibility, and a love for nature.
  • Snapology: Lego Lab (Gr. 1-4)

    In Snapology’s LEGO Lab, students will actively experiment with STEAM principles. Snapology After School enrichment programs utilize teamwork, communication, and problem-solving, allowing students to learn, challenge themselves, and use their creativity. Students will work with a partner to create a variety of structures, robots, machines, and more to solve challenges in this fun LEGO Lab! In this hands-on cooking class, kids of all levels step into the chef’s hat as they chop, mix, measure, and whip up their own delicious creations. They’ll build kitchen confidence, expand their taste buds, learn real culinary terms, and make new foodie friends along the way! And the fun doesn’t stop at the stove—kids will also enjoy food themed games, crafts, and recipe inspired activities that keep the culinary creativity going!     Sparkle and shine as we create stage worthy style from concept to collection. The students will work individually and as a team to create their designs.     Mad Science and NASA have teamed up to develop this sensational series of enrichment sessions, featuring exciting activities and the wonder of space. Children will be taken on a voyage of space discovery through hands-on activities, amazing demonstrations and take-home experiments with each class. Explore the moon and planets; including Earth’s own atmosphere and other space phenomena. Learn what it’s like to travel and live-in space and investigate the forces of flight by building your own ROCKET! Topics include: rocket science, space travel, living in space, space technology, and the solar system!

Is it Magic”, and learn how seeds spread and the science of leaves changing colors in ”Harvest Time and Colorful Leaves”!Session 2: Students will see how different materials affect how balls bounce in “Magic of Bouncing Balls”, explore “Creative Chemistry” as they are surprised by indicator paper and corn starch, delve in mountains, deserts, caves and prairies in ”Large Landforms”, examine sedimentary, igneous and metamorphic rocks in “Rocking Rocks”, learn how scientists explore ”Terrific Teeth”, and learn about the animal and plants that live in “Proud Ponds”!   • Beginning Checkmate Chess (Gr. K-5)

    Progress With Chess is excited to offer two class levels to cater to students’ interests and needs, ranging from Beginner to Intermediate! Students in the Beginner section will be able to complete a legal game of chess by the end of the session. Students will learn how the pieces move, all of the various rules and caveats of chess, as well as basic checkmating patterns and endgames. Please be advised, Progress with Chess may move your child to intermediate if in the child’s best interest.
