Afterschool Sports - Rookie Sports Variety - Boys
After School Sports Classes OCER is excited to return to our traditional fun-focused after school sports programs. After transitioning to skill-based classes over the past few years, we recognized many families were looking for a more recreational experience for their children after the school day. These programs will focus on active play, teamwork, and fun through a variety of sports and games led by experienced instructors. There is no skill development or competition expectation. Open to students in grades 2–5. New! After-School Rookie Sports Variety Sports Class Boys Grades 2-5 Our After-School Variety Sports Program gives children the opportunity to learn and play a variety of sports in a fun, supportive environment. Led by experienced coaches, participants will be introduced to different sports through engaging games and activities designed to build skills, confidence, and teamwork. This program is perfect for kids who want to explore new sports, stay active after school, and have fun with their friends! No class 9/22 Pick-Up will be at the Moreland Elementary Cafe 2 entrance by the playground at 4:30 pm. We will walk the kids out to the sidewalk and you can just pull up and pick up your child. If it is raining or cold out, we will send the kids out from inside when they see their car. If you will be having someone else pick up your child please let me know. -

Skill Development Programs OCER offers youth athletes the chance to elevate their skills through specialized programs led by professional coaches and expert vendors. These sessions focus solely on improving technique, building confidence, and mastering the fundamentals—without any pressure to compete. Participants can expect meaningful progress and enhanced abilities in a supportive, skill-focused environment designed to prepare them for future sports success. After-School Weyn Soccer Skills Boys & Girls Grades 2-5 Join coach Dennis from Weyn Soccer in this fun, fast-paced after-school soccer program helps players develop key skills like dribbling, passing, shooting, and teamwork. Through engaging drills and small-sided games, players of all levels will build confidence and improve their game in a positive environment. No class, 11/26 Location: Moreland Elementary School Gym 26FYS903 - Boys September 10 - October 15 Thursday 3:30 - 4:30pm Resident $114 / Nonresident $119 26FYS907 - Girls October 29 - December 10 Thursday 3:30 - 4:30pm Resident $114 / Nonresident $119 ** Please be sure to mark your program in the school's Dismissal Manager on the day of the after school class your child is attending. Just simply put in the PM notes the sport your child is attending. This helps at dismissal time to ensure that everyone gets to where they need to be and we aren't holding up the buses. If your child will not be attending class that day please send an email to jmucci@orangecsd.org letting him know.Pick-Up will be at the Moreland Elementary Cafe 2 entrance by the playground at 4:30 pm. Afterschool Skills - Girls Softball Skills w/ Coach Kuhlman
Skill Development Programs OCER intends to provide opportunities for youth athletes to improve their skill level in their sports of choice through programming with professional coaches and vendors. When participating in these programs, participants should expect an outcome of; skill development and ability improvements throughout its duration. There should be no competitive expectation. After-School Skills Classes New this season OCER will offer skill development sports classes after school. Moving away from the traditional organized play programs, after-school programs will now serve youth athletes to improve their skill. Programs will be led by professional coaches who will develop a curriculum to guide your athlete to growth. Softball Skills with Coach Kuhlman Girls Grades 2 - 5 Coach Meghan Kuhlman, former division 1 softball player at the University of Akron and current school nurse here at Orange. Megan is a 2012 graduate of Mayfield High School and currently serves as the Mayfield High School Varsity Softball Coach. During her playing career at Mayfield, she helped lead the Wildcats to conference championships in 2010, 2011, and 2012, and was named Pitcher of the Year in 2012. This Class will continue to introduce the skills of softball while giving participants an opportunity to have fun with their friends after school! Participants should come prepared with a mitt and to play outside for the afterschool class, other equipment will be provided. Pick-Up will be at the Moreland Elementary Cafe 2 entrance by the playground at 4:30 pm. We will walk the kids out to the sidewalk and you can just pull up and pick up your child. After-School Boys Lacrosse Games with Chris Fletcher Boys Grades 2-5 Join Coach Chris for a fun clinic built for all skill levels of lacrosse! Participants will work on the fundamentals of passing, catching, cradling, shooting, and teamwork through engaging drills and activities. Each session will also feature fun mini-games and small-sided scrimmages that allow players to put their new skills into action. Whether you're picking up a stick for the first time or looking to sharpen your game, this program is the perfect mix of skill development, friendly competition, and fun with friends! Led in partnership with the OHS Varsity Lacrosse program, this is a great opportunity to learn from experienced players and coaches while having a blast on the field!
