Heartsaver First Aid, CPR, AED
The course is designed to provide participants with a basic understanding of events which may require a person to need medical attention. Participants will learn how to recognize signs that someone is in danger, and how to react to the situation. Topics discussed will include: how to recognize when someone needs CPR, how to perform high quality CPR on an adult, child and infant, hands on practice with a trainer AED, how to help someone who is choking, etc. Participants will gain exposure and confidence in recognizing an emergency and how to react in emergency situations. Participants will get the opportunity to do hands-on practice of skills discussed in class. Successful completion of the class will make participants eligible to obtain their American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED card. -
